Blank Poster Volume 1 is a poster design inspiration book featuring 700+ posters made by 393 designers from 53 nationalities. The posters featured are a selection of experimental, minimal, weird and interesting posters submitted to blankposter.com and were all based on random one-word design briefs.
Challenge
In order to make this book I needed to make a selection among 15.000 submitted posters and narrow the selection to fit a book format. This proved to be somewhat of a logistical challenge, and although it's not shown here, the excel sheet I set up to keep track of the status of everyone I emailed was a massive job in and of itself.
The completion and publication of the finished book is the biggest side-project I've taken on and although harrowing at times it was a project I found really worth doing.
The Blank Poster book is a collection of some of the best posters submitted to the platform over the years, made by designers from all around the globe.
